It's bussiness time.

Apologies, apologies for not writing an update sooner! But it's happening now! Ooowwee!

I want to put out a big thank you to everyone who has contributed and supported this idea. We've learned a lot as a group so far, I know I certainly have! This is part of what makes the experience so great-there's not a grade, no expectations, no guidelines, classroom, syllabus. It's people power, ideas, movement, and creativity. Our core team ROCKS and I couldn't be happier with these peers and friends in my life!

The past couple weeks have been ones of experimentation with where we want things to go and how. There will be some shifts in the way we do things, and where we are focusing our energy.

Meetings for everyone, are now once a month! Oowwee! Our core group will meet every week however, so if theres something really important you want to contribute, let us know and we can talk about it in the meeting!

Meeting notes will now be posted on the Facebook GROUP! The Group page is more accessible, and it's easier to share with more people. This way, people can catch up on what we talked about, there's transparency, and we can still get input from a wider audience.

We are putting together a timeline for this as well-We want to be selling food by FALL 2011! I think it's a BHAG (Big, Hairy, Aaudacious Goal) but that time frame feels good, to at least try and accomplish something.

We're working with NamaSte, both the ground floor and the cafe, on building a partnership that will bring our similar visions to fruition! It's very encouraging and inspiring to hear their journey and experience.

Dining Services will be decided on FRIDAY! We will hear who got the new contract!! We have no idea what to expect, but will be ready to go gonzo on the contract, trying to find a loophole or space for us to get a spot ON CAMPUS!

The GIANT POTLUCK IN RED SQUARE will be held on May 25th. More details to come. Grassroots advertising and word of mouth is how we're going to play this one, I think! Looking forward to seeing what kind of turn out we can get.

Still trying to encourage people to come down to Sebastapol for the training with COFED! If you want to be a key member of the group and learn valuable skills relating to co-ops and grassroots movements, this is the place for you! We're working on putting together a road trip :)

That pretty much sums everything up, we had a fantastic time at the Sustainable Dinner on the 20th, the co-oppers on the Ridge KILLED IT! Thank you Ali and Meredith!

Students in the dorms, watch for a community dinner this month, it may be in your hall!

Kalefully,
WWU Co-op :)
